Founder Director

It is bliss to mark the successful accomplishments of initiatives undertaken by Power Foundation while overcoming challenges and barriers this year.

When the Power Foundation opened its doors one and a half year ago, we were; and still are a small group of like-minded people and one big idea: that we could overcome our country’s toughest problems by empowering girls and women to lift up themselves and their communities.

We are striving to achieve more than we ever thought possible; the secret being, support of friends and families, committed to the cause. But with challenges still in front of us – like advancing equality for girls and women and fighting child marriage– we can’t slow down.

This year, our effort is to reach millions of people to change lives and transform lives of thousands of girls around the country – but we never lose sight of what makes it all possible: you.

Power Foundation marked a new era of strong united voices in favor of gender equality, aiming to reach out to over 100,000 young boys and men across 7 states of India in the year 2016.

We work around the clock to make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
As an organization and as individuals, we act ethically and treat all people with respect. We are open and transparent about the work we do and how we do it.
Our stakeholders participate in the design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of our work; we are effective stewards of the financial resources entrusted to us and the natural environment in which we live. We commit to achieving demonstrable impact for our stakeholders, using their feedback to innovate, learn and improve.

Power Foundation’s primary stakeholders are the people and communities we serve.
The focus of Power Foundation is not just limited to Gender Equality. We provide support to needy women; offer them vocational skills to enable them to lead lives of financial independence and self-esteem. We also support school drop-outs, where our youngsters are provided with best possible educational/vocational training; because we strongly feel that it is our duty to help them become productive and contributive citizens.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all our donors, supporters, volunteers, members of staff and the advisory board who have been associated with Power Foundation in its endeavor to act as a catalyst for social change.
